Do you ever stop to think of what happens when you quit
To stop pushing, is to quit
To stop trying is to quit
To give up, is to quit
To lose hope, is to quit

Have you ever thought of what happens when you do quit
To say no more is to quit
To drop it off, is to quit
To not go back is to quit
To turn a new leaf, is to quit

I left it all at the cross
Where my saviour paid it all
I kept falling short
But HE kept coming through
I wanted to give up
But I looked at where I was coming from
I knew it was farther to go back
Than to keep moving forth
I stayed on
And refused to quit
I decided to embrace His leading
And quit on the contrary thoughts

Quit trying so hard to be accepted, for you can loose your way
Quit trying so hard to be loved, for you can dive into acts unworthy
Quit trying so hard to be perfect, for you can loose your guard
Quit trying so hard to do it on your own, for it gets frustrating and exhausting!

Here I am, Lord
Quitting and embracing you and yours!
I surrender to your help and will
For where my strength fails,
I know yours is heavily activated.
For I really can’t do it on my own
So I quit trying to, and quit worrying too.

I rest in this assurance that I am loved, forgiven and engraced
