So I get to ask myself this question everyday especially during days when I write “deep stuff”, so I wonder, am I a poet?… Have you ever found yourself so lost in who you truly are or sometimes get confused about a calling that you wonder if you are on the right path? You just know you have that gift but you really don’t wanna put a label on it so you go with the flow?…… Anyways, I decided to check up the true meaning of poetry and who a poet is

Google helped me out, as always

POETRY: literary work in which the expression of feelings and ideas is given intensity by the use of distinctive style and rhythm; poems collectively or as a genre of literature.

POET: a person who writes poems.

Actually, I am because I see myself in this description. It is just that I’m really not consistent with my writings, the level and amount of writer’s block I have these days, whew!

I also checked and saw that World Poetry Day is celebrated every 21st of March in honor of those who use their words to express and solve issues, who convey messages in poems and who express their feelings in words, US – The Poets!

Kindly check out some of my poems here, and drop your reviews, means alot!

Anyways, I’ve been wondering, what’s the difference between written words, spoken words and poems?
