The ABUJA START-UP SUMMIT which is expected to host yearly, seeks to harness young and/or aspiring business owners with adequate and necessary knowledge they need to navigate their business/es to success amidst all the challenges facing entrepreneurship. This year, the summit provided young and/or aspiring entrepreneurs an opportunity to interact with successful entrepreneurs who started their businesses from zero bottom as they enlightened them on strategic ways to build and sustain their businesses.
AFRICADO the host organization, seeks to promote this course through conferences, seminars, trainings and weekly meetings with entrepreneurs in order to keep them motivated while they build their brands, connect with like minds and evolve to become more customer centered and with their youthful volunteer force, they spread the ministry of education collaborating with relevant and reputable organizations and companies to deliver life changing experiences. To maintain momentum and inspiration, every Friday, beginning from 29th March, 2019 AFRICADO will host weekly mentoring and connecting sessions where members will meet, learn, share challenges and proffer solutions to their respective problems.
The interesting part of this event was the wisdom nuggets dished out by the speakers of the day, and the motivating and inspiring story from the pioneer of this event Richardson Ojeka. One thing I learnt from him is to always appreciate your workers openly, he actually called everyone who volunteered and worked with him, we were given a warm applaud.
I volunteered to cover this event, and the youthful energy that exhumed from the room can’t be compared…. It was a room filled with individuals enthusiastic to learn and youth ready to impact! And oh yes, there was an amazing stage play that promoted women rights and inclusion, the play also tried to debunk the false notion that community development will destroy culture and traditions.
Here are some quotes from the event
