Oh yes, there are people who drink this water for survival. And the effects are negative ones – skin infections and all!
Today, March 22nd, the @unitednations celebrates World Water Day with the theme “Leaving No One Behind” meaning no one, not even the marginalized groups – women, children, disabled people, etc sbould be overlooked and denied access to clean and safe water free from contamination.
So what role are you playing towards ensuring water is managed in your community? Access to Water is a human right! Sufficient funding must be effectively targeted at those who need it the most. On the side of the government, proper regulatory and legal frameworks must be put in place to ensure EVERYONE has safe, clean water!
