SO THIRSTY COS ITS WATER DAY!

Leave No One Behind, Water is essential for survival!

All the haters, drink water and take a chill pill!

As for me I would just drink water, mind my business and face my front.

Your blood is too hot, drink water and cool down!

Do any of these words sound familiar? How many of us engage in such conversations?Whose gate I’m I knocking on? Who’s table am I touching the legs?

Anyways, have you ever wondered if those people even have water to drink? Or if the star they had to drink looked like the picture above? —
Oh yes, there are people who drink this water for survival. And the effects are negative ones – skin infections and all!
Today, March 22nd, the @unitednations celebrates World Water Day with the theme “Leaving No One Behind” meaning no one, not even the marginalized groups – women, children, disabled people, etc sbould be overlooked and denied access to clean and safe water free from contamination.

So what role are you playing towards ensuring water is managed in your community? Access to Water is a human right! Sufficient funding must be effectively targeted at those who need it the most. On the side of the government, proper regulatory and legal frameworks must be put in place to ensure EVERYONE has safe, clean water!

P. S. Do you pay your water bills? This community featured above is in Abuja!
