CONNECT THE DOTS

Ps. 23:1“The Lord is my shepherd…”

Good morning! It’s going to be a great week for you! You know why? Because no matter what happens, God has this amazing ability to make things just come together for His children. God loves to take a negative and use it to create a blooming blossoming positive.

One of the amazing things God does is to prepare the end from the beginning. He is able to work out His plan to the minutest detail, and nothing will ever change His plans. His thoughts for you are thoughts of peace, and He wants more than anything for things to be well with you. The thing about God’s plan is that in the present, it may not make so much sense. It may not look anything like the path that we’re interested in. But God is the master Planner who will make all things add up to His will in the end. Usually, in hindsight, things make sense, and the reason some things happened in the first place make more sense. This is God at work, taking a seeming negative and turning it into a positive. Don’t be afraid of the current negatives, because God can take them and turn them into positives that will give you immense fulfilment and pleasure.

This is why it is so vital that you are obedient to God in the present. He will give you certain instructions, or lead you in a certain direction, and it is very important that you learn to show your trust in Him by obeying Him. The reason it’s this important is that first of all, God knows what’s best for you, and second, because He sees what’s ahead, and knows what to do to either embrace or avoid it. The more you trust God, the easier it becomes to keep trust Him. This is when the shepherd’s prayer can become meaningful to you. You can comfortably know that God is your Shepherd, and He will always lead you in the path of His will. This does not mean that adverse situations won’t arise, but you know that He is present to guide us out of them.

And because God has come through for you before, you can be sure He will come through for you again. So, don’t throw in the towel, but keep pressing on the path God has placed you on. Whether it’s your studies, or your marriage, or your job, or your ministry, whatever path God has placed you on, keep at it. God is right in the thick of it with you, so be rest assured that the dots will add up to a glorious big picture in the end. Don’t give up because of the present challenges, but rather rely on who God has been to you, and keep at it because He will make it make sense in the end.

This week, choose to walk in righteousness, decide beforehand how you’re going to advance your spiritual growth. Call up a friend and set up prayer times that both of you will work towards this week. Pick a book of the Bible to read completely this week. Let your thoughts be dominated by your spiritual realities. Listen for the leading of the Holy Spirit, because it is doubtless that He will. You will hear a voice in your spirit telling you which way to go, and once you do, obey that voice. As you obey God’s leadings in your spirit this week, you will find that the peace of God fills your heart perpetually, keeping you confident and certain of God’s ever-abiding presence to steer you through the week. This week, sin will not rule over your members, because you will walk worthy of your calling in Christ. Give no place to the devil. Attack your work with vigour and positivity, make up your mind to honor God in the workplace.

Have a blessed day.
