ADVANCING NATIVE MISSIONS

Any farmer will tell you that preparing a new field for planting is hard work. The same is true when planting the seed of the gospel in an un-reached people group. But with faithful perseverance the planting will expand. The gospel seed will permeate the people group’s culture, and the church will begin healthy reproduction.  That’s our goal.

“AND THIS GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM WILL BE PREACHED IN ALL THE WORLD…”

God’s heart is for every nation, tribe, and people to hear the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. “And this Gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations, and then the end will come.” (Matthew 24:14)

Did you know that today there are almost 7,000 people groups with no effective witness for Jesus? ANM serves 250 indigenous mission partners with over 8,500 native missionaries working in 80 countries. These missionaries are engaging more than 450 of these un-reached people groups and are reaching out to more all the time.

Native missionaries already know the language and culture of the people they serve. They are already accustomed to the physical climate, environment, and political situation. Because their standard of living is comparable to those they serve, often vastly different from that of a foreign missionary, they are able to live and minister on a fraction of the resources. Since it doesn’t take them years to learn the language and culture, they can begin their work after minimal training and preparation. Finally, because they are working among their own family, friends, and neighbors, they are committed for the long-term work of missionary endeavor.

Additionally, there are an increasing number of countries that are closed to Western missionaries.  The only way that people in many of these countries can hear that God loves them is through native missionaries.

For Advancing Native Missions – They preach the Gospel, plant churches, and care for children. They begin schools, medical clinics, and Bible colleges to train more workers. Compelled by the love of Christ for a broken world, they are willing to live in poverty, face persecution, and do whatever it takes to reach the lost.
