When I say save me, what comes into your mind. So I say or call upon Jesus to save me, to save me from sin, from save me from Satan, hell and all I think I can do without Him. Do you think He heard me, if He heard me and saved me, should I now be insecure of my salvation.
Also when you save something in a bank. Who protects it or secures it? Is it you or the establishment. If anything happens to what was saved, who do we blame? Of course the establishment. It’s carnality to have more faith in your banks ability to save your money, than for Jesus to save you.
I am saved in Christ, He is the one who guarantees my Salvation. For He is my salvation, Saviour, Preservation, Advocate, High Priest and Judge. It’s what shouting about, Hallelujah. It’s my Salvation that said He will never leave me nor forsake me. That said He will Keep me from falling. (Jude 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,)
I refuse to be like the 2 on the road to Emmaus, that Jesus called “O fools and slow of heart to believe all that the Prophets have spoken…” I am not slow of heart to believe what is clearly stated by the Apostles in the Epistles.
2Ti 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.”
Does the verse above spark insecurity in Jesus. I thought you said you trust Jesus to save you, why not trust Him to keep you also. Are you a believer or a doubter.
Heb 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;”
Pls don’t read “obeying him”, it’s not present continuous. Obey Him here is to obey the Gospel which is to believe in Jesus, the obedience is to answer the Call of Salvation and receive Eternal life.
. This is called the Obedience of the Faith in the Epistles. I am found in the Obedience of Christ and not the disobedience of Adam.
Jesus is the Author of Eternal Salvation. Author here is “aitios” in Greek it implies one who is the cause of anything, or the causative agent, or who is the cause of a crime or offence. For those who believe eternal salvation is an offence it was Jesus who caused it. Blame Him. I AM ETERNALLY SAVED, I speak for my self. You too can speak for yourself, you’re of age. Mount Sinai’s translations wants us to believe He authored Temporary Salvation.
Heb 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.”
Jesus is the One who saves to the Uttermost meaning saves perfectly and completely. Yet he is still the one who intercedes for my mess up. What a faithful High Priest.
The Redemption He gave me is called “eternal redemption” and not temporary redemption.
Heb 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. ”
Joh 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.”
The life He gave me is called “Eternal life”. It’s not called the gift of ” temporary life”. My existence on the earth is temporal but my existence in Christ is Eternal. Don’t confuse the two.
The Inheritance I have is called eternal inheritance. (Heb 9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. )
If you agree there is eternal damnation and you are so sure of it for unbelievers, why do you disagree with eternal salvation for believers. Or are you a hypocrite. Your disagreement matters nothing.
If you’re not assured of your salvation what do you now preach to the unsaved. Insecurity is fear and worry which are works of the flesh, but like Isaiah said Assurance is an effect of righteousness. (Isa 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.)
John. 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
Thank you Jesus. I rest in you eternally secured.
