PHONE PAUSE

May 04, 2018 | In Life.

Has your phone ever betrayed you! Like it’ll just wake up one morning and do a black out, like not come on, start doing funny things like as though it’s telling you “I need a vacae please”

Well, that’s my story.

My phone went MIA sometimes back for a week, and I almost kinda went MIA too. You know how you literally have everything on your phone, like even your jotter is on your phone. So you’re just stuck, you can’t do anything “meaningful”.

It got me thinking…..

Does this happen to you?

Your whole life feels dependent on something, someone for survival, the boyfriend/girlfriend, the job, the money even the challenges (oh yes!) you’re so used to the challenges that it has become part of your daily bread like if there’s no challenge or trial it feels as though you’re missing something! Like your life just goes on a pause, a stand still!

Wake up!

That’s what I told myself the day after, I tried to fall into the self pity pit, but hey, thanks to God, I didn’t. Like what if I don’t even have a phone from the beginning, you know makes me wonder how our parents “survived” or rather “lived” without phones then.

So what happened, what did I do? I decided to take my life outside my phone more seriously – do important things that don’t require using my phone more often, revive my contact book (where I hand write every contact I have), read hard copy books and joke down on hard copy journals (like all my books and notepads are on my phone so you can see why), call or even flash 😝 instead of chatting, etc…

Trust me, when we make up our minds to defeat something we actually can! So what’s that thing you feel you can’t do without, it takes first courage to say I can do without you, and strength to actually take the necessary actions required.
