Often times you hear people say they are saved. So one Easter day I asked so many believers what they mean by they are saved? And what are they saved from? Over 50 believers I asked, only 2 knew. The rest just kept saying Jesus died for me now. Or I am saved. They didn’t even know what Jesus died for them mean. I cried that day and was strengthened to teach passionately and convincingly on what Jesus did for us in His death, burial and Resurrection even unto His seating on Majesty on high.

Salvation means Deliverance, Preservation and being in Safety.

Imagine so many believers say they are saved, but aren’t even sure they are preserved in Christ. Paul let’s us know that such have been bewitched. When you save something, you keep it well that no harm or danger comes to it. A man who is saved in Christ, is still afraid of Hell fire. How did we get here in the Church, such ignorance is appalling. It’s masked in false humility and pseudo Holiness pursuit.
Luk 1:77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins”.
The knowledge of Salvation let’s us know that our sins have been forgiven. Believing the gospel of our salvation is how we become temples of God, or are sealed with the Holy Spirit. (Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise).
In Christ we have redemption through His blood the Forgiveness of sins. If you read it today in Eph. 1:7 and Col. 1:14 it stays the same if you read it tomorrow it remains the same. That Forgiveness is unchanging and Eternal. The Blood (Sacrifice of Christ) is that powerful.
Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

The wages of sin is paid for by Jesus, we who believe this Gospel have Eternal life. And are made righteous or justified. We have passed from death unto life. Christ is our PASSOVER.
Salvation is ONLY in the JESUS. He is the Saviour. (Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved”)
We are preserved. Anything saved that isn’t preserved isn’t truly saved. (Jud 1:1 Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called: )

1 Peter 1:4 –  To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you”

The same Greek word for Preserve is the same for reserve in the above.
As a man who is saved from sin unto death, because you now have Justification of Life. You should also note that you are saved from the wrath to come.
Rom 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him”
1Th 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
You are not a child of Wrath but a vessel of Mercy.

Eph 2:3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
Eph 5:6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
Children of disobedience can only found in the disobedience of Adam. (Rom 5:19 “For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.)
We are called Obedient Children (1 Peter 1:14). We are found in the Obedience of Christ. We have obeyed the Gospel of Christ. No where in the Epistles is believer called a child of disobedience. Disobedience here is related to what you do with the Gospel of Christ. Did you accept or obey it. Or did you reject or disobey it.
Joh 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him”
Only those who don’t believe see wrath.

It’s that disobedience that ensures eternal damnation.

Never allow unsure pastors teach you to be unsure of your salvation. If the blind lead the blind they both fall into a ditch.
Hallelujah. Thank you Jesus for saving me from eternal damnation. I am a citizen of heaven, I am preserved in Christ, saved from the vengeance of that great day by your Mighty Power.
