Mar 23 – Movie Review
First of I just wanna say that this movie is amazing!
Secondly, I think I will officially join the league of people crushing on Idris, but i shouldn’t, i will still stick with Ventilligo even though my colleague is on the race with me!
Yes, I did.
Oh well, I cry in movies a lot, so its a repeated trait, especially for romantic movies because I feel the world revolves around love.
OSCAR® Winner Kate Winslet and Golden Globe winner Idris Elba star in this suspense drama, it’s really suspense filled trust me with romance and survival drama, directed by Hany Abu-Assad and written by Chris Weitz and J. Mills Goodloe, based on the 2011 novel of the same name by Charles Martin.
Apparently, each is supposed to meet a deadline for the next day but due to weather conditions the air flight canceled the flight. As a sharp girl, Kate Winslett decides to find other options and seeks the help of a helicopter man, and drags Idris in with her, saying that she wants to help meanwhile I feel she just wanted a flight partner.
Kate is a journalist and photographer kinda, something I love, while Idris is a Neurosurgeon, sexy! Don’t known whats with me and medical people!
The helicopter crashes, but before the crash the pilot – I don’t wanna call the man a pilot because I’ve not come to terms with it – had a seizure or so, starts behaving awkward and all.
Now these two are left behind to survive against the odds; a cougar comes to show himself but instead its meat is used for a 3-course meal! Kate almost drowned, Eedris feet is almost chopped off, moments of regrets, guilt and blames are seen and then the epic passionate moment is revealed.
Finally, help comes and they get back to their lives but all is not well in their hearts as the two reconnect back in love.
I think it was well played, the location and characters chosen. It showed that there’s no mountain too great one cannot overcome. It also showed pushing till victory is achieved.
As individuals, we need each other so there’s no need for bringing others down to climb up. Fear is not real, sometime its good to rise above very negative instinct and be hopeful. Two people in the same situation shouldn’t be negative about that situation.
Its wonderful how God made our bodies to align with different conditions, how the body can change to suit the climate of a given area.
The part I’m not so cool with is why she had to leave Marc; I know they found love but I mean doesn’t it feel selfish? But finally, the heart wants what it wants. So since she left him for Ben what make even feel that if she’s found in such situations again she won’t leave Born for that person?
I wanna watch Black Partner really need to do a review on it because the hype eh!
Who else hasn’t seen The Wedding Party 2, like me?
