Feb 21, 2018 | An Event.
The Social Media Week Lagos is here again. This event is one i always look out for due to my love for everything digital. This year’s theme is “CLOSER” is set to explore the intensifying conflict between community and individualism. The conversation will bring together a diversity of perspectives to discuss the most productive ways to harness these forces to drive innovation, improve consumer experiences and bring people together.
This year’s edition will look at how our individual stories, experiences and competencies contribute to the whole as investing in people and fueling their ideas gives them the capacity to do more. At SMW Lagos, they understand that it takes a village, but they also know that every member of a community must add value for it to truly prosper.
SMW Lagos 2018 programming will in part focus on how technology drives individualism, while also looking at how platforms and apps bring people “closer” and foster community.
“Inclusion is of the utmost importance our prosperity as a continent depends on it” – SMWLagos
There are different experiences from:
LaunchedInAfrica – where African led early-stage startups can showcase products/services that are disrupting industries across the continent.
AfricaNXT – which serves as a platform to showcase the makers, artists, creatives and doers transforming Africa.
And lots more.
I encourage everyone to be part of this amazing event in Lagos from 26th February – 2nd March, 2018.
